‘A Hero’ introduced to Cannes Film Festival

Ashgar Farhadi’s ‘A Hero’ has been introduced to the 2021 Cannes Film Festival in France.

Ashgar Farhadi’s ‘A Hero’ has been introduced to the 2021 Cannes Film Festival in France.

The flick starring Amir Jadidi, has been listed among the films introduced to the festival’s selection committee.

The 2020 edition of the festival was called off due to COVID-19 outbreak in the world.

Mohsen Tanabandeh, Raana Azadivar, Fereshteh Sadr Orafai and Sarina Farhadi star in the film alongside Jadidi.

The Memento Films International will be in charge of world sales for the film.

Although the story for the new movie has been kept under wraps, it has been disclosed to the media that the film will be suspenseful just like Farhadi’s other works such as ‘A Separation’ and ‘The Salesman’.

‘A Hero’ marks a return to filmmaking in Iran for the acclaimed director after his project ‘Everybody Knows’ in Spain. It will be shot in the city of Shiraz.
